| Empire Office Buildings (20402) | Ontario, CA | This project consists of three idential block office buildings, approximately 75 feet square. The structural design consists of reinforced masonry walls with a panelized wood roof. High strength, medium weight, solid grouted block was used in the design to keep the wall thickness at 8" (nominal) as well as to reduce the attachment force at the roof which reduced the hardware requirements. Due to the height to thickness ratio (h/t), the Slender Wall Design methodology was required. |
