11/12/00: Good news! After five grueling weeks of four wheeled boredom, I'm proud to announce that das beemer motorrad is turning it's wheels! It sure feels great to be riding again! I took a short spin this afternoon into town to fill up the tank and p/u the mail. The bike ran so well, it made me forget about how much time and $$$ this last repair cost.

Total parts cost including labor for the heads and ignition canister, $1100.
Total number or hours spent on this last repair, 32hrs.
Total cost of my bike to date including purchase price, $8,500.
Maintenance cost per mile (not counting fuel), 9.8 cents.
