Rough Riders Motorcycle Club

My First Motorcycle Club

I joined this club with my sister, Carol when I was 17. Membership dues were $1 a month and we met on Friday nights. Everyone else in the club was much older than I (next youngest was 23). The whole "purpose" of the club was to have a good time. We held dirt bike races to raise enough money for beer and pizza at the local Shakey's.

This picture was taken on the only long distance road run we ever had. We went to a ranch in Santa Fe. My Dad wouldn't let me ride my bike (2nd from right, next to the BMW), so I loaded it in my sister's van and rode around the ranch. This is Pat Schwarzkopf with a local resident of the ranch.
Yes, we even had membership cards!
